Biografia

TRAINING: Training is crazy for me. I get up every day and do strength and conditioning at 5:30am. I have my privates with my trainer from 9:30-10:30 then I do team training right after. Night training starts at 7pm and we go crazy on each other "Blackzilian" style.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started when I was 20 yrs old. My friend asked me to try it out after wrestling in college. I tried it out once and got hooked. 

What ranks and titles have you held? Rocky Mountain National tournament winner

Do you have any heroes? My granddad (pop) and Walter Payton

What is your favorite technique? None

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It means the world to me. I've worked hard to get my weight down, I feel great, and wouldn’t change anything for the world. Now I can take care of my family how I need to. 

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Lassen Community College

What was your job before you started fighting? Bouncer

•    Junior college National Wrestling Champion for Lassen Community College

•    Knockout of Burns was the TUF8 Finale’s Knockout of The Night.

•    His first two UFC victories lasted a combined 64 seconds. All but one of his UFC wins have come by knockout.

•    Seven wins by KO or TKO

•    Has deadly mix of speed and power

•    Hardy fight followed a 16 month layoff due to a knee injury
