Hiromitsu Miura

When and why did you start training for fighting? In 1987. My elder sister asked me to start Judo, as she was already a good player. I didn’t like Judo, but my sister pressed me everyday for Judo. After growing up, I practiced very hard. But up till 12 years old, I was not very much interested.

What ranks and titles have you held? The under 90kg.Champion of the 30th Annual All Japan Russian Sambo Tournament.

Do you have any heroes? Kazushi Sakuraba. When I was in university, I saw the game of Mr. Sakuraba. I was so impressed that I made up my mind to be a fighter.

What is your favorite technique? Standing punch

What does it mean for you to fight in the WEC? It is my dream to be famous, and I can fulfill my dream when I will win the big game of WEC.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I graduated with a degree in economics from Daito Bunka University in Japan.

What was your job before you started fighting? University student
