Training: I train 3 times per day for 4 hours in total. Two of those are very hard and the other one is just technique.

When and why did you start training for fighting? When I was 13 years old. One of my friends introduced me to the fight world. At the beginning it was just to learn how to protect myself in the street and now it is my job.

What ranks and titles have you held? Brown Belt in Jiu-Jitsu and Black Level in Muay Thai. Brazilian Champion in Wrestling. Winner twice in Samurai FC, Champion of MAFC and Storm Samurai.

Do you have any heroes? My father and my mother – they’ve shown me the right way in life. They make me strong in mind and soul.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? That was my dream since I was 19 years old.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I when to school until high school.

What was your job before you started fighting? My job before I started fighting was as a security guard and teacher in my academy branch of Chute Boxe in Praia do Rosa.

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Brazilian Champion in Wrestling. Five fights and five KOs in Muay Thai and titles in Jiu Jitsu.

Favorite grappling technique: Standing: arm drag, and on the ground, triangle choke

Favorite Striking technique: Knee
