Biography

TRAINING: I’ve been training very consistently since trying out for TUF.   Even when I didn’t make it, I kept training because I knew I could have been called to be an alternate.  Then I got called to do the Contender Series.  And since my win, I’ve been training consistently.  During fight camp I do two a days, morning and night, resting in between practices. I train in the morning w/ the pro team – sparring twice a week, wrestling and striking, and in the evenings I do one-on-ones with coaches for more technical work.

When and why did you start training for fighting?  I've always liked to fight, so I figured I might as well get paid to do it. I chose a gym four years ago, started training MMA and became a professional fighter.

What ranks and titles have you held? None

Do you have any heroes? My parents. They have been there for me endlessly, supporting my dreams as a fighter when others may not have agreed with my passion and career choice. They've taught me to be strong, independent, and to always go after my dreams.

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It's everything I've been working towards. To be in the UFC is my ultimate goal. I'm here to show the world I have everything it takes to be in the UFC right now.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Palomar Community College - earned my CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant).

What was your job before you started fighting? I was working full time in home health as a CNA.

Ranks in any martial arts styles: BJJ blue belt

Favorite grappling technique: Armbar
